Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina continued her career by getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She came back with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but she also defeated Ariane.
